The ELLE cover star’s nomination Tuesday morning came just one day after she won a best actress trophy for the role at the Golden Globes.

In her acceptance speech, Williams thanked her daughter, Matilda, ‘whose bravery and exuberance is the example that I take with me in my work and in my life,’ and ‘for suffering for six months of bedtime stories, where all the princesses were read aloud in a Marilyn Monroe-sounding voice.’

Nominated alongside Williams in the best actress category are Meryl Streep for The Iron Lady (also a Globe-winning role), Viola Davis for The Help, Tilda Swinton for We Need To Talk About Kevin and Berenice Bejo for The Artist.

racked up six nominations. The Artist leads the field with 12 nods, including best film, best actress, best actor, best director and best costume design.

The Orange British Academy Film Awards ceremony will be held at London’s Royal Opera House on Sunday 12 February.
