It's been a tale of two Yves Saint Laurent films this year – only one of which, the succinctly named Yves Saint Laurent, which was released in March – got the official seal of approval from the designer's long-term partner Pierre Bergé.

Now, we have an inkling why.

A trailer for the second, ‘unofficial’ film, Saint Laurent (keep up), has just been released – and we're excited to report that it looks incredible.

Starring French beauty Léa Seydoux alongside main man Gaspard Ulliel (you may recognise him from that Chanel advert), the new film focuses on the period 1967-76, when YSL was at the peak of his career.

Apparently, we can expect incredible Seventies fashion (natch), romance and, well, the occasional snake. Yes, really. See for yourself...
