First up was a reception at London's Washington Hotel where the girls (pictured here with ELLE's editor-in-chief Lorraine Candy) shared all the gossip from the film set. ' Long walks, the Welsh countryside, dogs, fry-ups, cream teas and pyjama parties, what more could a girl want?' was how Sienna summed up her experience of filming the Dylan Thomas biopic with nbf Keira Knightly. 'It sounds gushy,' said Keira, 'but we really have become really good friends. It was an honour to work with her.'
Then it was off to London's iconic Curzon Theatre for a special screen of the film which made it's world premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival on Wednesday night, to critical acclaim.
Keira's mother, Sharman McDonald was also at the premiere last night, not only as a proud mum, but as the writer of the film. She told us, 'I don't think of her as my daughter in this film, I think of her as an actress speaking my words, and I watch her from the audience as a film goer seeing an actress I admire on the screen. She's wonderful.'
It was then on to The Berkeley Hotel in London's Knightsbridge for a glittering after party.Champagne, canapes and a VIP area for Sienna, Keira, their co-star Matthew Rhys who plays Dylan Thomas in the film, as well as both the girls' mothers and close friends including designer Matthew Williamson.
