You might have noticed ELLE has had plenty to say on the 'F' word of late.
So we couldn't pass up the chance to join the hundreds who braved the wind and rain today to celebrate One Billion Rising in London.
A sea of pink brollies sprung up at the protest at Trafalgar Square; one of thousands of events to include music and dancing in 160 countries.
Spearheaded by The Vagina Monologues writer Eve Ensler, the events are part of a major global campaign to end violence against women.
The event opened with a lively dance by protesters on stage, bringing smiles to the faces of the grandmothers and even toddlers who made the rain-soaked audience.
Speakers on a windswept platform included human rights activist Bianca Jagger, FGM campaigner Leyla Hussein, Labour politicians Yvette Cooper, Stella Creasy, Jude Kelly, artistic director of the Southbank centre, and Skunk Anansie, lead singer of Skin.
ELLE spoke to Yvette Cooper at the event to ask why she want important for her to be involved:
'I think there should be national outcry about violence against women and that's why I'm joining a billion women around the world today to fight for justice'.
Protesters in London called for children to be taught about consent and zero tolerance of violence as part of sex and relationship education in schools.
We thought 2013 was a great year for feminism, with ELLE's 'Rebranding Feminism' campaign and a whole host of celebrities like Beyonce and Georgia May Jagger getting behind the cause.
But it seems 2014 may be even better for women!
