Flying the flag for the UK, Carey Mulligan wore a chic black gown by Prada . Diane Kruger opted for her go-to label of choice, Chanel , and sported a monochrome gown. Racel McAdams wowed in a pastel printed full dress by Elie Saab . And Charlize Theron , as we predicted, chose a rose coloured dress by Dior .
As for the worst, we're disappointed to report that there were no real disasters - thanks to the army of stylists working away behind the scenes, gone are the heady days of red-carpet errors and adventure. We miss Bjork.
