Kate Spade New York celebrated the opening of the Chelsea Flower Show with a private tea in its Sloane Square shop. Orchids and seasonal bouquets blossomed on summer dresses and tables as DJ duo Ohh La La!—AKA Sunday Girl and Zara Martin—supplied the tunes.
Meanwhile, at Harvey Nichols, a crop of designers and stylish friends took to the Fifth Floor Terrace to launch the British Designers Secret Garden. The ‘interactive garden space’ became a playground for those happy to celebrate the arrival of sunnier days (finally!).
‘It’s a really creative way to curate a space,’ Mary Katrantzou told us. ‘There’s such an interesting interplay between real flowers and printed flowers here.’
Roksanda Ilincic and Marios Schwab chatted with Joan Collins and Bianca Jagger in different garden nooks. As singer Ren Harvieu performed inside, Katrantzou and James Long sampled their signature cocktails outdoors.
How does Mary’s English Garden grow? In a miniature watering can, of course.
