Reason number one million to love Prince William and David Beckham: they have teamed up to promote the protection of lions and tigers and rhinos. We die. Just look at them, smiling and getting along (we'll choose to ignore the Prince's punchy fist).

Yes, today in central London two of Britain’s most respected and popular public figures launched the #WhoseSideAreYouOn campaign to raise awareness about the illegal wildlife trade and champion the fight against it.

This is familiar territory for William, president of United for Wildlife (the charity behind #WhoseSideAreYouOn) and Becks has been enlisted, along with other sporting stars – including Andy Murray – in the hope that more young people will become engaged with the issue on social media.

The two men look completely at ease with one another. Which makes sense, it’s not the first time David and William have joined forces. They worked on the World Cup bid together and the Beckhams’ attended William’s wedding to Kate Middleton back in 2011.
