In space… no-one can see red as last night's red carpet event for the premiere of Promethius took place on a blue carpet in London's Leicester Square.
The highly anticipated science fiction prequel to Alien is on general release today (1 June) and see's Charlize Therone, Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender and Guy Pearce traversing the universe in search of humanity's beginnings. The Ridley Scott directed epic is filled with tension and eerie suspense on a grainy space-craft and on a dusty planet but last night's Premiere was a much more sparkling affair.
Leaving behind the spacesuits – but definitely looking out of this world in the style stakes - Therone wore Christian Dior Couture and Rapace wore Valentino. Pearce (in Lanvin) and recent ELLE profile man Fassbender both looked dapper in suits whilst other blue carpet guests included Minni Driver and Salma Hayek (in Bottega Veneta).
