Happy birthday to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II! Everyones favourite royal (sorry Kate) is 87 today. We imagine its gin oclock at the palace but what gifts were presented to her this morning at birthday brunch? Here's what we'd buy
1. Mega Yacht
Whats eye-achingly glossy and the size of a small island? A mega yacht, obviously. Your regular model is a bit bling for her Majesty, but perhaps if upholstered with rich purple and kingfisher blue with a Union Jack suspended from the sail then it might pass royal muster. Theyre not cheap though Roman Abramovichs Eclipse is valued at around £3.17 million. And her Majesty would definitely want a bigger one than that.
2. Lykan HyperSport 2013
After her skydive at the Olympics (it was really her, right?) we reckon the Queen is secretly a bit of an adrenaline junkie. So we'd treat her to the Lykan HyperSport 2013: priced at a cool $3.4 million (about £2.2 million) its the worlds most expensive sports car.
3. The Princie Diamond
The Princie Diamond is due to be sold at an auction in New York for an estimated £19.6 million (although some experts have predicted itll go for more) making it the most expensive jewel in the world. You can never have too many sparklers
4. The Royal Suite at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris
The Queen might live in a palace, but stare at the same (jewel-encrusted) four walls for long enough and anything will lose its lustre. If the Queen fancies a little continental flair, she should hop on a Eurostar (first class) and book a Royal Suite at Paris Four Seasons Hotel. One of the most expensive hotel rooms in the world, its crammed full of priceless antiques, fine art and ornate chandeliers. A home away from home with added pains au chocolat.
5. Bee Venom Facial
Rumour has it that Kate Middleton keeps her skin glowing with bee venom facials one of the most expensive beauty treatments in the world (one treatment can cost as much as £36000). But we cant begrudge the Queen a little pampering on her birthday - no matter the price tag. We'll be booking in for the budget version, which comes in at a less regal £55.
