It’s not just ELLE that’s slipping into something more comfortable for Red Nose Day.

Rihanna has swapped her Givenchy couture for Stella McCartney’s charity t-shirt, created especially for this year’s Comic Relief event. The ELLE cover girl joins Kate Moss and David Gandy in sporting one of the t-shirts, which depict icons such as Marilyn Monroe and The Beatles given the Stella treatment with red noses and comedy glasses.

McCartney spoke to us last week about the importance of supporting initiatives such as Comic Relief, saying, ‘it can have a big impact on people’s lives and I hope everyone gets involved in any way they can.'

Rihanna’s doing her bit by busting out some serious sex appeal in the t-shirt on Twitter, but you can do your bit too, by buying the t-shirt for just £9.99 at TK Maxx, or supporting the #ELLEPyjamaParty. On Friday we’ll be joining forces with fashion friends such as Topshop, River Island and Princesse Tam Tam by wearing our PJ’s to work. Fashion Features Director Rebecca Lowthorpe has even pledged to wear a onesie to her afternoon Chanel appointment.

To compensate for feeling slightly under-dressed, we reckon it’s best to take a leaf out of Riri’s book: simply throw back your head and pout like people’s lives depended on it.

Because in this case, they do.

This year’s Red Nose Day is next Friday, 15 March
