London’s Leicester square was thundering with guitar music for the European Premiere of Rock Of Ages in London with cast member’s Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Malin Akerman and Diego Boneta turning out to support their film.
The film sees a “small town girl” (Hough, who wore a Valentino dress to the Premiere) and a “city boy” (emerging heartthrob Diego Boneta) who face a number of challenges on their road to romance, but sound-tracked on the way by Journey, Bon Jovi and Europe.
The 80s set film also stars Tom Cruise as a rocker named Stacee Jaxx who is on his own journey of discovery. The A List actor wore a jacket designed by his wife, Katie Homes, to the premiere and briefly discussed the sequel to Top Gun with ELLE explaining “we’re working on the script, but we haven’t figured it out yet,” adding “you’ll have to wait for the movie,” when asked if Top Gun 2 would also be set in the 80s.
Malin Akerman was going for gold in a Marchesa dress and Jimmy Choo shoes explaining her outfit choice by saying “I saw this dress and just thought if that fits me, that is what I am wearing!”
