Fashion and music have always gone hand in hand, so it comes as no surprise to find out that some of music’s biggest stars are a few steps ahead in the fashion game.
Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones performed this weekend wearing next season’s Saint Laurent Paris menswear collection – the collection’s first outing on British soil.
At the band's 50-year anniversary gig, staged at the 02 Arena in London, the aging rocker modelled a waistcoat and silk scarf from the first collection to be designed by the brand’s new creative director, Hedi Slimane.
Clearly a fan of the line, Richards also chose to wear a Saint Laurent Paris spring/summer 2013 silk scarf with his suit at the premiere of the Rolling Stones film Crossfire Hurricane.
Slimane’s collection for the label, formerly named Yves Saint Laurent, is already proving a hit, as ELLE predicted, with everyone from Kate Moss and Salma Hayek to Lady Gaga choosing to wear the collection as soon as they could get their hands on it.
