Past ELLE cover star Huntington-Whiteley has joined the cast of the fourth Mad Max film, Mad Max: Fury Road. She’ll play a character who, from what we can discern from online accounts (forgive us our lack of action-film awareness—we’re more into fashion), travels from place to place as part of a group of five women.

It’s a return to cinema for the model, who has turned her talents most recently toward lingerie design for a forthcoming Marks and Spencer range.

The film role is Huntington-Whiteley’s second time taking part in a major blockbuster event. Previously, she starred alongside Shia LaBeouf in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. This time around, she’ll appear alongside Tom Hardy and SWATH queen Charlize Theron, as well as fellow five-wives Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keogh and Adelaide Clemens (the fifth wife is still TBA).

The Burberry model is reported to have travelled to Sydney earlier this month to audition for the role. Although she walked in the Colcci show during Sao Paolo Fashion Week on Thursday, it’s clear that Huntington-Whiteley is committed to pursuing her career in film.
