The Duchess of Cambridge carried the Polly Push Lock Tote in Midnight Shiny Grain, available online and in the brand’s stores for £895.
Along with the handbag, Middleton wore a fitted navy blue dress and blazer and blue court shoes to board a plane to Canada with Prince William.
We spotted the bag at the end of Middleton’s arm before the brand’s press office. When we called, they said they weren’t aware that Middleton had obtained the bag.
Middleton’s endorsement means that sales of this bag probably will rival, if not exceed, those of Mulberry’s best-selling Alexa. The popularity of the Alexa style boosted Mulberry to record profits in its last financial year... Something tells us that the brand has just found its newest sweetheart.
Designer Emma Hill wasn’t available for comment, but she has been quoted in the past saying how much she admires Middleton, a spokesperson said.
UPDATE: As for the rest of her sleek transatlantic ensemble, we learn that Kate is wearing Roland Mouret's Manon dress with a navy blue blazer from Toronto brand Smythe les Vestes. The shoes are by Manolo Blahnik—the Calogera style.
