Gwendoline Christie and Lupita Nyong'o have now both been confirmed as cast members of the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

British actress Gwendoline Christie has been on our radar since she first graced our screens as GoT warrior, Brienne of Tarth (proudly collecting an ELLE Style Award in 2013 on behalf of the cast).

With an additional confirmed role in the next of the saga, Mockingjay - Part 2, it's safe to say that the actress is very much now playing in the big leagues.

And what more can we say Oscar-winning actress Lupita? All we know is that the Star Wars line-up is getting more impressive by the day.

The news of the cast additions was announced on the official Star Wars website yesterday, and the film will also star original alumni Harrison Ford, as well as ELLE-faves Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson.

Star Wars: Episode VII is due in cinemas on 18 December 2015.
