The fashion crowd included Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who celebrated winning the award for Icons of the Year, and were delighted to be honoured, especially as they were already revelling in plaudits for last week's highly-acclaimed show for their fashion line The Row . Mary-Kate wore gothic looking Lanvin , while Ashley went to the palette polar extreme in diaphanous Christian Lacroix.
Carey Mulligan, fresh from winning a Bafta for Best Actress on Sunday, added an ELLE Style Award for Best Actress to her mantelpiece and wore The Row to support the Olsen's collection, an outfit she clearly picked up after hitting the front row at their New York show last week.
Naomi Campbell won Outstanding Contribution of the Year and drew tears from the crowd, when, after accepting her award from Sarah Brown, who Naomi works closely with on her charity The White Ribbon Alliance and has become a London Fashion Front Row stalwart this week, dedicated her award to the late designer Alexander Lee McQueen. Naomi also wore a stunning McQueen gown in tribute .
Actress Claire Danes presented Christopher Bailey with his award for International Designer of the Year, and looked stunning in a simple black Burberry dress with lace sleeves. Having also worn a Burberry gown at the Baftas, she is quickly becoming an unofficial Burberry ambassador.

The public camped outside in the cold to get a glimpse of Twilight star Kristen Stewart who won the ELLE Style award for Woman of The Year, while ELLE favourite Alexa Chung won the much coveted Editor's Choice award, and was as chatty and warm as ever, explaining that she was wearing a Chanel dress, and naturally, matching Chanel bag.
Other stars in attendance were Kylie Minogue, who presented her sister Danni with the ELLE Style TV Award, Claudia Schiffer, who won Model of the Year, Colin Firth, who won Best Actor, Nicholas Holt who won the Rising Star award, while Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine was presented with her award for Music, by singer Corinne Bailey Rae.
Among the fashion crowd cheering on the winners were Agyness Deyn, Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley, Jared Leto, Leona Lewis, Jade Jagger, Jaime Winstone, Jo Whiley and Sophie Ellis Bextor.
