Stella McCartney was in New York this week to show her Resort 2013 collection to Manhattans style set and a few Hollywood bright lights too. Stellas usual posse Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler and Gwyneth Paltrow was absent but in their place was a recently-shornAnne Hathaway, funnyman Jim Carey, Emily Mortimer and daughter May Rose Nivola, Solange Knowles and Amy Poehler.
The Marble Cemetery in the East Village was overhauled for the English garden party, which saw The Soul Rebels brass band provide the soundtrack to models having a high old time blowing bubbles, playing croquet and throwing darts at balloons as part of the festivities.
As for the collection, it was a sunny offering with lace, fringing, patchwork jumpers, zinging florals and some Seventies shapes. I wanted to inject the collection with optimism, McCartney told WWD. When spring comes, its a hopeful time of year and everything starts over.
Sh*t Girls Say star PTrique was there too. Of course she was: shes anywhere worth being. We imagine her verdict was much like ours: totes amaze.
