Fans and families flocked to a small hilltop tent on the Cornish estate to hear the Oscar winner read from children’s book Mr Gum.
Resembling countless festival-goers in her jumper, shorts and Hunter wellies, Winslet enthralled the crowd from the first line of her 90-minute reading. She clearly relished the performance, bringing characters Polly, Mr Gum and Granny to life with distinct voices and gestures.
