Mara wore a backless white lace Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Couture gown and Brian Atwood pumps to the Dragon Tattoo world premiere in London.

Despite the luxurious fabrication and couture nature of the gown, Mara’s lack of accessories and severe fringe ensured that the look stayed consistent with Salander’s Goth style.

Director David Fincher told ELLE that Mara’s performance in the film is ‘relentless.’

‘We thought she was great and we were wrong, she was better,’ he said.

Expect to see more red-carpet photos when Mara and co-star Daniel Craig attend the Swedish premiere. The film is released in the UK on 26 December.
