Have you heard the news about our June cover star? No? Where have you been? It’s none other than Kristen Stewart, and the Snow White and the Huntsman star was in fine form during an appearance at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday. She wore a flippy-skirted black-and-white Cushnie et Ochs dress that coordinated with costar Charlize Theron’s black trousers, ivory blazer look.
Earlier in the week, Sarah Jessica Parker slipped into a vintage Oscar de la Renta ballgown (clearly the sort of thing you would happen to have hanging around, if you were SJP) to host Carnegie Hall’s gala in honour of street style photographer Bill Cunningham. The storied performance space bestowed its Medal of Excellence on former resident Cunningham. And yes, everyone dressed up for Bill.
Also in New York, Coco Rocha gave us one of the best displays of peplum we’ve seen this season with the Jason Wu SS12 dress she chose for a charity function. Gwyneth Paltrow looked the business in the Burberry Prorsum dress she wore for Avengers promotion. And Rihanna looked pretty in pink in the Marchesa dress she chose for the Time 100 Gala on Tuesday evening.
Although it’s technically not part of this week, we can’t resist giving a tip of the figurative hat to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Rather than stripping down to the bare minimum to beat the heat during the second weekend of Coachella, the supermodel wore Christopher Kane’s bejewelled denim cut-offs with a breezy J Brand shirt. That’s how to do festival style.
