Samantha Cameron presented Tom Ford with the award for the best International Designer of the Year, saying: "A master at everything he does, from fashion, to film, to fashion again, there is no one quite like Tom Ford."
The ever-gracious Mr Ford spoke of his sense of "privilege" at working in the fashion industry. "ELLE helps women navigate the sometimes difficult and diverse messages that fashion can send," he said.
