Vidal Sassoon’s memorial service is taking place at Saint Paul’s cathedral in London today, as the great and the good of the fashion and showbiz world arrive at the service to pay their respects. 

Those in attendance include Harold Tillman and Caroline Rush of the British Fashion Council, fashion editor of the International Herald Tribune, Suzy Menkes, Vidal’s Sixties fashion contemporary - fashion designer  Zandra Rhodes as well as actor Sir Micheal Caine, and celebrity hairdresser John Frieda.

The legendary London hairdresser died in May this year aged 84.
