Gwyneth makes the perilous task of dressing for the red carpet look effortless, sticking to a simple and elegant look while remaining perfectly on trend.
She's sporting the much coveted dress from YSL, which, being made from stretch grey marl jersey, turns the cocktail look on it's head and is more relaxed and directional than conventional silk or satin.
A classic tailored blazer (a wardrobe must-have for 2008) and trusty black tights keep things simple and chic. Gwyneth knows that bare legs at this time of year look nothing less than cheap.
Finally the shoes - towering, galdiator heels keep the frumpiness at bay.
