Giuseppe Zanotti hosts star studded party in his London store
Giuseppe Zanotti has become the go to shoe label for those in the fashion know.
When Gwyneth Paltrow returned to the spotlight earlier this year she teamed her show stopping micro mini hems with Zanotti shoe-boots and sandals on the red carpet. Shortly after we revealed that British shoe brand Russell and Bromley will be stocking the label for autumn/ winter 2008 too.
If you can't wait until then the good news is the designer has also opened a boutique on London's Sloane Street, and last night he was finally ready to shout about it by hosting a star studded party. 'My brain wasn't ready to do a party before this,' revealed Zanotti, whose store has been open for over a year. 'You can't just throw a party,' he continued. 'I feel that before you have a party you need to relax and get a customer base.'
He certainly took care of the latter as Roisin Murphy, Jasmine Guinness, Kelly Rowland, Astrid Munoz, Natalia Vodianova and Justin Portman (who joined the festivities later at an intimate dinner at Cipriani's for 40 people) were just some of the few who came to show their support. We caught Kelly Rowland, in Dolce & Gabbana admiring a pair of new season black leather knee boots. 'When I wear Zanotti, I feel sexy, confident and like I'm the only person wearing his shoes! And they're so comfortable, you're always surprised at how comfortable they are!'

Yes you read that correctly, designer Dame Vivienne Westwood is releasing an album next week.
She won't be singing though. The record, entitled 'Catwalk Breakdown' is a compilation of her favourite catwalk tracks over the years - and everything from The New York Dolls to Tchaikovsky will feature. “[They are ] pieces that I’ve relied on over all these years — my classics. They’ve never failed me.” She told WWD.
The album lands in Selfridges on September 15th - during London Fashion Week- and the Oxford Street store's Wonderroom will be dedicated to Westwood to mark the occassion.
