Roll up, Roll up: Kate and Pete - the souvenir.
The on again-off again relationship of Kate Moss and Pete Doherty has taken an interesting turn. Because, despite the fact that Kate has had all of Pete's belongings removed from her north London home and he has just entered a rehab clinc in North Yorkshire, in an effort to avoid prison, their love still endures - at least on film that is. As we told you in June, the two were signed up earlier this year by designer Roberto Cavalli, to star in his Autumn/Winter 07 ad campaign - and the shots have already been published in several high end glossy magazines. Luckily for Kate the two were not shot together - so a quick word in her pal Mr Cavalli's ear should ensure that his mug shot ( a Brando-esque black and white pose) might not make it into print again. Which is why there is now a buzz around that very shot. Apparently Pete's fans are searching everywhere to buy the pics and intend to auction them. We can't imagine who will buy them, but we predict they will be worth a lot more when Kate and Pete get back together...again! (You know they will!)
Pixie Geldof is the face of a new campaign to put an end to illegal human trafficking.
The model daughter of one of the world's most vocal charity workers is teaming up with iconic fashion designer Katherine Hamnett to draw attention to this cause by modelling Hamnett's latest slogan tee (pictured) designed to raise awareness of illegal trafficking.
"Every year 2.5 million people are trafficked globally, and many women my age and younger are forced into the sex trade. It’s time we open our eyes to the situation. This is real and it has to stop!"
The design launches next week (14th October), ahead EU Anti-trafficking Day (18th October) spearheaded by Odanadi UK. At the moment this £20 tee is so limited edition that it will only be available at the event, but we hear there may be plans to expand it's availability.
Until then, get to London's Museum in The Docklands next Saturday to be in with a chance of bagging an limited edition Hamnett tee and do your bit for charity.
