Friday's to-do list is epic (as my 11 year old would say). I have a 7.30am pick-up with our @audiuk driver Jeff for an 8am British Fashion Council breakfast at Somerset House to kick off Fashion Week. Then I head back to the ELLE office to do the following before disappearing from ELLE's Soho HQ for nearly three weeks on the front row:

  1. Approve the June ELLE cover rail for the shoot in LA next week, make my final selection on what to wear to the ELLE Style Awards on Tuesday, give the Style Awards’ seating plan final approval, see the final proofs for the April issue, chair the June features meeting and pick an outfit for tonight's Burberry dinner with Hollywood's Harvey Weinstein.

  2. I also need to squeeze in @elleukrunning training for the @Semiparis half marathon that is in just two weeks time.

  3. In between all this, the wonderful Marie Wilkinson, creative director of Cutler and Gross comes in to fit me with my new glasses – she's just returned from the sunny south of France working with a very famous actor and former ELLE style awards winner, fitting him for a new movie - I fear this is somewhat of a come down!

There are stormy weather warnings for London and the grim rain is relentless – it is definitely a four cups-of-coffee-two-doughnut kind of day!

On day one I wore: Vintage leopard print coat, M&S cashmere rollneck, Prada loafers, Joseph trousers, Matthew Williamson handbag.

Every morning I ask my four children to review my outfit. Today's kid critique is Gracie (aged 10): Kid critique: Gracie said leopard print was so 'yesterday' to me when she saw my coat this morning but she approved my loafers as 'modern'.
