Who says French girls have the monopoly on effortless elegance? Over at Copenhagen Fashion Week, its the Danes that are flying the flag for understated cool.
Dresses here are the antithesis of showy: assuming unexpected silhouettes and dark, ambitious patterns. Shorts, meanwhile, wade into high fashion territory, worn as part of a tailored two-piece or thrown together with a sports luxe bomber and easygoing trainers.
All the global names are here, like Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Kenzo but this time it’s the home-grown Danish designers that are making us look twice – think Second Female, Ganni, Wood Wood, and Baum und Pferdgarten.
