Androgynous cool pervaded on the chilly streets of New York Fashion Week with show goers opting for intelligent, minimal pattern cutting, interesting proportions and texture to see out the show days.
Leather panelling
has been a street style staple this season and made a notable showing in New York; as did voluminous, ankle length trousers, boxy, mannish tailored over coats and capes. When it came to texture
, it was all about the tactile; with fur trimming hoods and gilets, and heavy, rough wools adding surface interest, and all important warmth.
