It was the fashion industry’s festival. With a line-up that included Luella Bartley’s ad hoc clothes reinventions, Meadham Kirchhoff’s headdress workshop and Louise Gray’s face and body painting session, it’s a wonder we had time to capture the best dressed at this year’s fashion-packed Port Eliot. Fortunately for us and our fellow cultural seekers, the comfortable, sunny surroundings of the Earl and Countess of St Germans’s Cornish pile meant this truly unique and rather decadent garden party attracted a stylish crowd. Unlike the aztec and leather-clad crowds of Glastonbury and Lovebox , this was an altogether more grown-up and feminine affair. With summer dresses, straw boaters and pretty blouses topped off with Barbours, sunnies and the odd pair of wellies, this cultural bunch have helped cement this former literature festival’s spot on the fashion crowd’s 2012 calendar…
