This week in London, temperatures soared in the first of what we hope will be many highs in 2012 and as the degrees maximised, the clothes minimised. Whilst some of our capitals fair girls got a bit over-excited and threw caution and their pale winter skin to the wind, some savvy trans-seasonal dressers got the balance just right. While the rain clouds are still looming on the horizon, its best to employ some simple tactics: the shorter the hem the more generous the top should be, and likewise the more abbreviated the top, the longer the skirt length. And always, always have a great cover up to throw on when the sun goes in because remember, goose-bumps are never chic.
