There's a lot to be said about the power of speculation – particularly when you're Kim Kardashian and your default setting is having your every manicure filmed, commented on by every member of your (extended) family, tweeted about and the pictures then sold to the highest bidder.

What Kim will wear tomorrow when she becomes Mrs West is hotly contested. No slouch, she's been careful to give just enough fashion nods to the media in recent weeks to keep us all guessing.

Selfies with Olivier Rousteing? OH MY GOD, IT MUST BE .

Dressed by Alber Elbaz for the Met Ball? OH MY GOD, IT MUST BE .

She wants to emulate Duchess Kate and got on the phone to Sarah Burton for advice? OH MY GOD, IT MUST BE !!

Et cetera.

(The oft-overlooked option has of course been Vera Wang, a long-time family friend who provided all three dresses for Kim's last wedding, to Kris Humphries, and the two that Khloe managed to rustle up in the nine days between her engagement and wedding to Lamar Odom.)

Honestly? We don't know what she'll wear. Pushed for a prediction, we'd shoot for one each of the above, with maybe a few extra looks thrown in for good luck – is probably a safe bet, given that the entire wedding party is currently assembled at the designer's château, Wideville, just outside of Paris.

Of course, for most of us planning our weddings, multiple dress changes aren't an option. But even so, we can all learn a thing or two from Kim: a little bit of mystery will go a long way when the magic moment for the big reveal finally arrives.
