Enter Carousel Lights.
Founded by siblings Ben and Rebecca Reynolds in 2013, Carousel Lights hires out striking fairground-inspired lighting installations - all of which are made by craftsmen in the UK - to add a unique pop of colour to any event.
'The Waltzer Heart (pictured below) is without doubt our most popular light,' Ben tells us. 'All of Carousel Lights' main range of lights is inspired by a different iconic fairground ride and the 'Waltzer' style is no exception.
'The first Waltzer ride arrived in British fairgrounds in the 1930s and this light is inspired by the ride, hence its name and inspiration.
'The wings on the heart come from the deco era when Charles Thurston's ride first made it's debut, with the polished steel echoing the chrome of the same era. The red trim which is seen on all 'Waltzer' style lights, whether letters, number or shapes like this heart, used the same shade of red - Mason Ayres - that was used on Thurston's first ever Waltzer ride.'

'We've just designed a beautiful heart-shaped light for Sophie Ellis-Bextor which mimics the tattoo she has on her arm,' Ben confides. 'It's heart-shaped with a ribbon flowing through it, and employs a beautiful mix of fairground lights whilst also featuring neon to illuminated the word 'family'.
'Neon and fairground lights work extremely well together, and just like any other materials, they can both be used in a traditional or contemporary manner.'
