Look carefully, now. Can you see this woman? Yes?

Oh dear.

In her first public interview, Pippa Middleton has confessed that becoming the most looked-at bridesmaid on the planet (on the day big sister Kate married the future King of England, no biggie) was rather a surprise - as the point was actually to blend in.

'It wasn't planned,' she told Good Morning America's Matt Lauer. 'The dress was almost meant to be insignificant.'

The aim was for it to 'just to blend in with the train', she added.

Kate famously married in a dress created by Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton and Pippa's simple cream, cap-sleeved version was made by her also.

But it was the view from behind that ended up taking centre stage.

Brides: take note.
