As the Oscars brings the glittering LA awards season to a close, take a look back at the best bridal-esque looks spotted so far on the red carpet in 2013...
Timeless lace
Soft, romantic and delicate: flattering lace will always be high on the bridal agenda. If you dont want to go down the Grace Kelly / Kate Middleton demure lace sleeve route, take inspiration from Naomi Watts silk strapless gown by , with its delicate lace overlay.
At the other end of the lace scale, is this transparent Zuhair Murad number (a favourite designer of Kristen Stewart), a full length, long sleeved look thats a daring experiment in sheer panelling.
Artisan detail
So often it is artisan embellishment such as a delicate scattering of pearls and beading that can really make an ivory gown sing. At the 2013 Oscars, both Kristen Stewarts Reem Acra and Amanda Seyfrieds gowns were high on detail with intricate, hand-finished appliqué working to create a soft, dreamlike quality.
Pared back simplicity
Every bride is different - and for some, a simple, well-cut style in rich, quality silk has the power to fulfil their every wedding dress reverie. Look to classic beauty Anne Hathaway for your inspiration, who strode out at both the Golden Globes 2013 and the Oscars in elegant gowns, devoid of pomp and ceremony.
