Craft London 

Stevie Parle ( Rotorino, Dock Kitchen), is the talent behind the new Tom Dixon-designed cafe-restaurant-cocktail bar in the 5bn Greenwich Peninsular project. Its circular terrace, up on the top floor, has  amazing 360 degree views of the river, Canary Wharf and the 02.  Order a 'More Please' (gin, camomile- infused apricot, honey, egg white)  to start, the Pigeon Pastry with a glass of red, and finally an  Old Fashioned Buzz (Craft London Coffee infused with Old Scout Bourbon, golden syrup) and a plate of caneles (small pastries with custard centre). .

Mission

In a converted Bethnal Green railway arch, this restaurant/wine bar has a large front terrace, park views and a summer- long barbecue. Wines by the glass are Californian, with a large selection by the bottle, including some fine Old World ones, too.

Street Vin  

Back for a third summer at Street Feast’s Dalston Yard,  my mobile bar, Street Vin, now has a New World Wine Garden housed in a shipping container: find the 'secret' staircase and you're in. It's at the east end of the main yard and gets the most sun.

Hidden away in an old Victorian Boys' School, Rochelle Canteen is a the perfect lunch- time  hideaway,  with plenty of garden and patio space, and delicious British food. Even better, it’s BYO. Fine wine, tasty food and serene surroundings is the best way to have a write-off-the-afternoon lunch.

Climpson’s Arch 

Climpson’s Arch in London Fields (Climpson Coffee Roastery) is currently home to Somsaa, which has some of the best Thai food in town, and  a big stretch of terrace out front next to the semi -open kitchen. Expect  a short- but- sweet wine list, punchy cocktails and zinging food.

Billecart Salmon Rose - cool, classic and classy

Paltrinieri Lambrusco - Passione Vino in Shoreditch (85 Leonard Street, London EC2A 4QS, 020 3487 0600),  have a great selection of the Emilia Romagna classic. Slosh back with pizza and charcuterie. 

Pink Moscato - on tap at Vinoteca (various branches), it's slightly sweet, totally moreish and, at only around 5% abv, seriously sessionable. 

Wiston - One of the top English sparklers, this is pale, crisp and simply delicious. 

3B Brut Nature - from Bottle Apostle, this is a clean and elegant fizz made by Filipa Pato, one of Portugal’s best winemakers.
