The Alps

If you’re finding all the photos of fresh, powdery white, snow-capped mountains impossible to look at without getting a touch of the green-eyed monster, then you need to get yourself out there. Pronto. It doesn’t have to cost a small fortune, either, as Direct Ski (Directski.com) are offering savings of up to £170 per person, meaning you can get return flights (from Gatwick or Manchester) to Meribel (or Soll in Austria) for £178 per person including a full week’s accommodation. If it’s Verbier you’re after, then you can always check in at the gorgeous Hotel Nevai, who are offering a two-night stay and breakfast for £80 per person per night. And if that still hasn’t twisted your arm, then Austria’s hottest festival Snowbombing (Snowbombing.com) is taking place from 9th-14th April, promising top bands, sky-high igloo raves and of course, great skiing. All in all, it’s set to be a good couple of months on the slopes.

Paris

If only all travel was as easy as hopping on the Eurostar and arriving in a fabulous destination, then we’d be very happy indeed. Eurostar (Eurostar.com) run an impeccably efficient two-hour service to the French capital, and seeing as we’re going to have a full four days off, the thought of donning our Breton stripes and heading there for a long weekend of culture, croissants and plenty of vin rouge is becoming an increasingly attractive prospect. Particularly, if the culture means an afternoon at the 'Matisse: Pairs and Series' exhibition at the Centre Pomdidou, croissants being taken at the Mini Palais and vin rouge supped at the uber-trendy La Gaite-Lyrique.

New York

How long has ‘visit New York’ been on your things-you-really-want-to-do list for? As one of team ELLEuk’s absolute, all-time favourite cities, it’s certainly on ours, too. And you can tick it off with the help of British Airways' Great Spring Deals (Britishairways.com), where if you book before mid-March, they’re offering return flights for £400. We can’t think of anything better than a crisp spring day spent sauntering around the vintage shops in Brooklyn (Beacon's Closet if you're asking) followed by a night out, SATC-style, in the Meatpacking District.

North York Moors

If the thought of spending Easter Sunday with all the family is proving just that bit too much, then you could always escape them and persuade your other half to take you away for a romantic mini-break. Said persuasion should be made all the easier, thanks to the gorgeous White Swan up in Pickering, North Yorkshire. During the Easter Weekend, they’re offering rooms for £84 per person and given the fact they’re also throwing in 15% off your total dinner, bed and breakfast bill, it’s frankly a bit of a no-brainer.

Amsterdam

Seeing as Amsterdam is just a short hop across the Channel (OK, a 45-minute plane ride away...) but what we’re getting at is that it’s super-close and one of Europe’s most beautiful cities to explore in spring. Plus, if there’s any time to go then it has to be spring, when the whole place is filled with the blooms of fresh tulips. To honour that, British Airways are offering flights for £45 each way with their brilliant Great Spring Deals (Britishairways.com). Pedalling around the canals of Amsterdam in the sunshine this Easter, grabbing a load of flea market bargains at the Waterlooplein Market and heading for cocktails at the sumptuous Dylan hotel? Now, that doesn’t sound half-bad to us.
