Style Bubble

That Style Bubble needs no introduction is unquestionable. Whether it's strictly a 'London blog' is a little less certain – as creator Susie Lau seems to spend much of her time swanning off to New York, Paris and wherever else the winds of fashion blow her. However, we're claiming her as one of ours, and that's that. Alright, so she might be a fairly obvious choice, with her blog having been splashed across the pages of just about every glossy in the last couple of years. But with a love for, and knowledge of, fashion coming through in every post, a lively style (she's written for ELLE, so what do you expect?) a fabulous eye, and a shared love of hidden London parks, we just didn't see how we could leave her out.

London Eater

Another biggie. Kang Leong’s London Eater is perhaps the best example of the countless London restaurant review blogs that have mushroomed up everywhere in the last couple of years. What makes it stand out? It's impartial and knowledgeable, for starters. The attention to detail displayed is also hugely impressive, the photos are mouth-watering, and it’s hard to imagine how he could be more passionate about food. Or eat more, for that matter.

London Shop Fronts

Changing tack entirely, Londonshopfronts.com deals in, erm, London shop fronts. Not grand, Liberty-style affairs, either, but grim, garish, run-down images of cafes, off-licences, mini-cab offices, pound shops and takeaway joints in suburban London. It doesn’t sound particularly appealing, we’ll grant you, but it somehow manages to draw you, perhaps a little reluctantly at first, into a world of shop fronts. Surprisingly compelling.

Stella’s Wardrobe

Back to what we know and love – a proper London fashion blog. If not quite that Stella, the Stella whose wardrobe it is (Katterman) is an adopted Londoner – or ‘not quite German. not quite English’ as she rather sweetly puts as – who’s been eatin’, drinkin’ and fashionin’ her way round London for a couple of years now, taking cute street style pictures as she goes. One to watch.

London on the Inside

Arguably rather more site than blog, Jules, Ben and Sarah steer a clear path through the murky waters of what’s on in London. Having, by their own admission, not been written by professional writers, or as a stylist’s offshoot, it’s a little less knowing and lot more natural than many other London blogs. Other things we admire about them range from their passionate dedication to the capital's music scene, their 'Swag' section (free stuff basically), their tireless sniffing around for under the radar events and their adherence to a blogspot platform.

And one more London blog for luck…

Run Riot

Is it a blog? Is it a listings site? Or is it a blog within a listings site? Frankly, who cares? Starting back in the day as a humble e-bulletin (remember those?) Run Riot has now grown into a collaboration between various contributors working tirelessly together to keep on top of what’s on in London. Essential reading.
