After the snowy spring, May finally brings a flurry of summery action: two of the capital's best rooftop bars burst into action, crazy golf steps it up a notch and a restaurant set to be one of the hottest openings of the year opens its doors. Be There First.

Frank's Café Peckham

Londoners will begin their pilgrimage to the top of the Peckham Multi-Storey Car Park again from May 19th, when Frank's rooftop bar reopens for summer. Not been before? No worries – find your way around the back of the Peckham Multiplex, into a dodgy-looking side door and up a smelly carpark stairwell. This summer's food and drink menu isn't live yet, but if last year is anything to go by, expect healthy-eating and comfort food staples, including a vegan platter, buffalo chicken wings, paprika and parmesan corn, and jerk chicken with potato salad. Cocktails are Italian, simple and classic, like Campari and Aperol Spritz.

Junkyard Golf

London's upping its crazy golf game with the arrival of Junkyard Golf Club at Truman Brewery. The quirky boozy and foodie pop-up, new to the capital from Manchester, features three different nine-hole courses. Fancy your luck on Pedro, Frank or Helga? After playing, fill up on some street food from newcomers Bart's Dog Kart and Big Grillie Style, and few choice In-house cocktails-  Tee Diddy or  Who's Your Caddy, anyone?

Junkyard Golf Club, The Old Truman Brewery 91 Brick Lane London, E1 6QL.

From May 12th.

Restaurant Ours

Knightsbridge has something new to shout about: Tom Sellers, the  chef  behind Restaurant Story, launches Restaurant Ours on  May 19th.  The modern brasserie will serve new takes on European and British food from an open kitchen; the 'Full Story' menu for £100 can take up to 3.5 hours for tables of two and includes dishes inspired by 'Childhood' (bread and dripping), 'Ocean' (scallop and squid) and 'Land' (Herdwick lamb) (A similar menu is available for lunch for £80 per head.) But it's the look of the restaurant that people will go for. There's a 30 metre 'catwalk style' entrance, and triple-height ceilings, framed by three huge indoor trees.

Tombo, Poké & Matcha Bar

A contemporary Japanese café is opening in Soho at the end of May. So contemporary, its name may confuse. To break it down, poké (pronounced POH-kay) is marinated raw fish – rather like sushi but served in a bowl. It originates from Hawaii, so the café's menu will be inspired by the sunny flavours of the Pacific. Six signature poke bowls will be available, or make your own. Tombo green tea, from the foothills of Mount Fiji, will be served and, refreshingly, there's a no service charge policy.

Pergola on the Roof

The word 'Pergola' may dumbfound modern London audiences but keen on bringing the retro foliage installations back, Incipio events (Feast, Little Feast and Market Yard), have created an eating and drinking space under the cover of live plants on the roof of the iconic, ex-BBC Television Centre in White City. Expect summery cocktails and exclusive food menus from the likes of Salt Yard charcuterie, Patty & Bun burgers, rotisserie aficionados Le Coq and Chelsea foraged food (think plenty of wild meat and game) from Rabbit restaurant, Chelsea.

Pergola on the Roof, Television Centre - Multi-storey Car Park, Wood Lane, London, W12 7RJ

From May 26th.
