Where? The Shard

Why? The views, of course. Settings don’t get much more spectacular than this. You could choose the brand new Shangrl- la hotel, opening in a few weeks, but our vote would be for Level 52 and the spectacular city skyline backdrop.

Where? Shoreditch Town Hall

Why? Ornate Victorian interiors and super cool locale make the perfect hipster wedding venue . Choose between the Council Chamber, above, ornate Assembly Room, Mayor’s Parlour, Committee Rooms, or, for a more Dalston vibe, the shabby-chic Basement. Best of all, with the acclaimed Clove Club inhouse, you’ll have some of East London’s finest catering on tap.

Where? The Roof Gardens, Kensington

Why? For a touch of La Cage aux Folles- flamboyancy it's hard to beat the Roof Garden. Think roaming flamingos, Alhambra- inspired Spanish Garden and a proper English woodland with full grown oaks and flowing stream.
