Chateau Marmont, Los Angeles

Before they bought their current palatial Beverley Hills pad, the Beckham entourage was a regular sight at any number of luxury Los Angeles hotels. Eva Longoria threw a pink princess-themed baby shower for Harper Seven at the Beverly Wilshire, David was spotted back in November last year visiting Prince Harry at SLS Beverly Hills and these days he’s a regular at Cleo at Redbury Hotel.

The hotel with the most Beckham cred is definitely Chateau Marmont, though: aside from numerous stays at the LA grande dame, Victoria has used the rooftop for photo shoots, and famously snubbed Britney Spears over dinner, while David was last snapped checking into the hotel back in April this year.

Hotel Principe di Savoia, Milan

Back in the days when David was strutting his stuff for AC Milan, he called the Principe di Savoia home. After a long flight or a hard afternoon on the pitch, we’re told, he was a regular sight in the Principe Bar come aperitivo hour. We can’t imagine why...

Claridge’s, London

And if David’s Milan home-from-home was the Principe di Savoia, Victoria’s a regular at (where else?) Claridge’s. She unveiled her 2011 collection to an admiring press pack here, and is obviously a runway regular at fashion shows held at the hotel. London Fashion Week appearances aside, Victoria always stops in for lunch at the hotel when she’s in town, and the whole family were spotted checking out en masse back at the end of 2011. A fashion classic for a fashionable family.

George V, Paris

Whether she’s being caught on camera on her way in sporting a long leather coat, wide-brimmed fedora and toweringly high heels, losing her shoes altogether while getting out of her car at the end of a night of after-parties or heading out for the evening with Katie Holmes, the George V has for many years been Victoria’s Paris basecamp.

Blakes, London

London boutique hotel Blakes has put the Beckhams up on a couple of occasions. Lovely though Anouska Hempel's creation undoubtedly is (and the Beckham's room of choice, Suite 007, is a serious thing of beauty), perhaps the key as to why lies in the restaurant, a discreet, celeb-friendly mix of gloom and glam whose East-meets-West menu features a couple of dishes of David’s favourite sushi.

Five More Favourite Hotels of the Beckhams

Rookery Hall Hotel, Cheshire: Where it all started. The Beckhams held their engagement party at this Cheshire country house hotel – what seems like another lifetime ago – in 1997.

Luttrellstown Castle, Dublin: This castle hotel outside Dublin was the scene of the Beckham’s wedding back in 1999.

AC Santo Mauro, Madrid: In 2003 the AC Santo Mauro in Madrid was the scene of an infamous £1m hotel bill. Gulp.

Amanjena, Marrakech: This luxury resort just outside Marrakech was where David and Victoria renewed their wedding vows back in 2004.

The Savoy, London: Another favourite London hotel: the couple checked in for a pre-Christmas romantic stay, while Victoria was spotted taking Harper Seven out for a girls’ lunch recently.
