Dive into a pool party
A pool party is a Vegas must, and the Marquee Dayclub knows just how to do it right. Foam canons shooting out in time to the DJ's beats, fish bowls of cocktails, transparent plunge pools, champagne parades (when £2000-£5000 magnums are delivered to tables by scantily-clad women), plus a dancefloor...in a swimming pool.: welcome to the funnest poolside cabaret of all time. Top tip - book a daybed. They may set you back around £700-plus but this can be recouped against food and drink ordered, and split between a group it is well worth it. Everywhere gets so crowded and hectic you will have far more fun with a space of your own.

Book the ultimate brunch at Bardot
The stylish Bardot, a new opening inside the Aria hotel (just next door to The Cosmopolitan), serves up one of the best brunches we've ever had. We just couldn't decide what we liked more - the mountain of French toast, or the Nutella Sticky Bun (which I still dream about). And just to top it all off, it comes with bottomless rosé (for around £25 each).

Head Downtown
When the Strip gets too much, try Downtown Vegas. Head to Commonwealth, above, a really relaxed bar and club, where you will feel more at home in flats than heels, especially as the more RnB vibe (as opposed to the thumping house music you tend to find in clubs on the Strip) made us want to dance all night. Head upstairs to the roof terrace overlooking the very cool Fremont St. There are some excellent vintage shops in that part of town, including Electric Lemonade and Retro Vegas, and a great restaurant scene. Sadly, we didn't have time to eat there but the much buzzed-about 2015 opening of Andiron Steak & Sea is definitely on my hit list for next time, as is the firm favourite Lotus of Siam, which is said to serve some of the best Thai food in America.
Light it up at The Neon Museum
Vegas is not all about the excess of Sin City - there's culture to be had here too. Check out The Neon Museum downtown, where an expert guide will talk you through the infamous bright lights of Vegas-past, telling the tale of the city's history. You'll learn a lot and find plenty to boost your instagram feed.

There are tons of shows to catch in Vegas - from the likes of JLo and Britney Spears to a seemingly endless number of Cirques du Soleil, but one of the coolest shows in town has to be Lipshtick at the Venetian, above, dedicated to some of the funniest women around. We caught stand-up Whitney Cummings, above, who managed to make us belly laugh on all kinds of subjects from gender inequality to racial segregation to bad sex. She is a genius, and gave a group of young women like us a real feminist boost before sending us off into the Vegas night.
