Ron Basejam – Someday (Razor n Tape)
Ron Basejam is the anagrammed alter-ego of Crazy P co-founder, James Baron. This is a great summer pool track, with uplifting vocals. I’ll definitely be playing this every chance I get and can’t wait to hear what new edits are released, as the vocal is unbelievable.
Julien Jabre - Swimming Places
This amazing summer track was originally released on Defected Records back in 2006, and still gets into my record bag every season. The piano keys just scream summer.
City Soul Project - Love 2 Dance
Released earlier this year, this track will be getting played by me a lot this summer. There’s a great disco sample on the vocals from the same guys who did Carnival – another track that will also be featuring in my sets.
Alex Herrera - Endlessly
This is a great early evening track, lovely deep house yet still not too underground, released in April this year. I’m sure this will be big this summer; it’s quite a UK-sounding track, but will definitely be big in Ibiza, too.
Urulu - No Need
I love pretty much everything this American producer and DJ has made. This is a very deep track originally released back in 2011, with very nice Marvin Gaye samples throughout, but still pumping if played at the right time. I’ll definitely be including this for about the fourth summer in a row!
Julio Bashmore - Love is Gonna Lift You Up
Released back in 2012, this didn’t get enough plays for my liking. This will be one of my peak-time tracks, especially at Ocean Beach Ibiza, where it will no doubt kick things off perfectly. A great track from the Bristol boy.
Sonny Fodera and Gene Farris - Turn Down
Great sample used here from Creative Source by the Aussie we've been lucky enough to have play at Ocean Beach Ibiza. It has a great disco feel to it, a perfect daytime house track.
Chez Damier - Can You Feel It (New York Dub)
This is a classic that has been sampled by lots of producers, but never seems to sound old or fail to makes the crowd go crazy. For me it’s not about what has just been released, necessarily, but what works, It’s great to educate a crowd but also at the same time it’s nice to mix it up with some old and some new. Originally released in 1992 – I’m sure I’ll still be playing it in in 20 years’ time!
Hardrive - Deep Inside (The Dub DJ T. Edit)
Recently re-released on Strictly, this is an Ocean Beach classic. There aren't many tunes that remind me of Ibiza and Ocean Beach more than this, and it's almost perfect any time of day. One of my favourites.
Miss & Trop - Basic Sound
Released on Salted Music in April, this will no doubt be a banger all summer. It’s got that Detroit/Chicago sound that is becoming huge again, which I’m super happy about. This is a great summer track that’s still got that bounce I'm always looking for.
Tom Crane is resident DJ at Ocean Beach Ibiza and will play at the official opening party on Friday 22nd May. See here for information and tickets.
