Jazz Jam: Cervantes Duo, Barts
After something a little different this Bank Holiday? Head down to Sloane Avenues Barts speakeasy bar this Sunday for some 1920s bootlegging fun. Punters will be transported decades back with Barts weekly Jazz Jam event, with a special knees-up to take place this Sunday. Guests start the evening in the venues intimate secret garden, and then move inside for a performance from the famous Jazz pianist/composer, John Cervantes Duo.

Mordern Hall Park Food Festival
Love food? Well, youre in luck. This Bank holiday sees the picturesque grounds of former deer park, Mordern Hall transformed into a haven for food and drink lovers alike. Bringing together an array of food and drink producers, artisan bakers, ice-cream and coffee specialists, it will also feature cookery demonstrations, and talks from food and drink experts. Plantasia, Kew Gardens
If a walk on the wild side takes your fancy this Bank holiday, Kew Gardens have made this a literal possibility with their newest venture, Plantasia. Opening this Saturday (and available until September), this festival of sorts allows nature-loving revellers to explore, experience and enjoy the stimulating properties of plants. You can meander along wooden beams and verdant rainforest textures on the Barefoot Walking Trail, get physical with Tai Chi sessions on the historic green Syon Vista, or kick back with a cocktail in the Gin and Tonics Garden. Yes, one exists, and we know what well be doing first.

Masterclass in Mixed Alcohol Libations, Mr Foggs
Presenting as a Victorian Aladdins cave of sorts all wooden panels with uni-cycles, bird cages and quaint artifacts scattered abundantly you would be eternally distracted by the décor if it wasnt for the delicious cocktails. Mr Foggs is a treat on the lips and eyes, and its latest event attempts to live up to its quirky name. Futurismo Ancestral: An Offering to Peru by Sixe Paredes, Somerset House
All this week, feast your eyes on the vibrant takeover that will be stirring in the heart of Somerset Houses Neoclassical walls - courtesy of Barcelona-born graffiti artist, Sixe Paredes. The artists first major solo show in the UK, the exhibition presents the viewer with smatterings of colour and geometric patterns translated into exotic forms such as woven tapestries and totem poles - all while hinting at Paredes signature Surrealist style. The exhibition finishes on May 26, so we know what we'll be doing this Monday. Its not one to miss.
