NYE: Vegas Last Words at The Book Club

This Shoreditch favourite will be transformed into the original Sin City for this Vegas style NYE blow out. Get trippy on the dance floor a la Fear and Loathing with DJs SlothBoogie’s mix of disco, house and techno, or get hitched for one night only at the shotgun wedding chapel. Think 1970s trailer park kitsch with an injection of American Hustle glamour.

Disappearing Dining Club NYE 

For its latest pop-up, the Disappearing Dining Club is throwing a spectacular NYE all-nighter at the Chainstore, a waterside Victorian warehouse. With welcome cocktails, canapés, a four-course dinner and DJs on the decks until 4am, this Docklands dinner dance is the perfect way to sail into your New Year’s Day hangover.

Gilles Peterson at the Prince of Wales 

Head south to Brixton’s the Prince of Wales to hear Worldwide party-starter Gilles Peterson bring the New Year in with a bang. The mix master and BBC 6 Music favourite will be delving deep into his collection of dub, house, jazz, soul, Afrobeat, funk and much more alongside Simbad, Eskimo Twins for Slide & Get Diverted’s NYE special.

A Vintage New Year's Eve, at the Southbank Centre

Now in its third year, vintage aficionados Wayne and Geraldine Hemingway have mastered the art of vintage merriment. See the Royal Festival Hall transformed into six sets from decades gone by, get glam at the salon, sip cocktails at the bar and dance into the early hours wearing your favourite vintage look.

The Blitz Party

Get into the Blitz spirit at one of London’s most popular New Year’s Eve parties. If festive cheer, all-night dancing and costumed shenanigans sound like just the ticket, don your red lipstick and rollers and join the fashionably Forties pin-ups at the Bourne and Hollingsworth bunker bash.

Réveillon at Sushi Samba 

For a truly VIP experience Sushi Samba’s Réveillon spectacular is hard to beat. Ring in the New Year 175 meters above ground with a champagne reception, signature aperitivos, samba dancers and live music from BELAIR. Dress code: glamorous whites (in keeping with Brazilian Santeria tradition) are the order of the night.

Vintage Bombay Glam at Dishoom

If you haven’t discover the old school elegance of Bombay café Dishoom’s new King's Cross spot then now’s your chance. Bring in the New Year in sated Bombay style with a menu of Dishoom favourites; Lamb Raan, Phaldari Kofta Ruby, Masala Prawns and Black Daal. Peg cocktails, aged in bottles and barrels, before being served over hand-chipped ice are also on the menu and will no doubt help make this a night to remember – or not.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks

If you’re hoping to catch a glimpse of this year’s NYE fireworks with hip flask in hand you may be left in the dark this year. Boris’ newly introduced £10 tickets have now sold out and are selling for four times the price online. The Royal Parks are also closed to the public so head to Primrose or Parliament Hill if you’re after more bang for less buck.
