THE SHOP: LA BOUTIQUE IBIZA

Annexed in ultra-hip north-eastern beach bar, Babylon Beach (Cara Delevingne celebrated her 21st here – go figure), La Boutique is like a dressing up box for grown ups, albeit one where you actually have to buy things.

Owned and run by Brit stylist Kate Marron – herself the ultimate Bohemian beach babe – La Boutique is packed full of the kind of proper treasures you always hope you'll stumble on but never quite do. Think bejewelled mini playsuits, feather capes, outrageously cool Love Bullet necklaces and rail upon rail of the kind of crocheted swimwear that clearly has no intention of ever getting wet. Grab a cocktail, stick on a turban and get stuck in – beach shopping has never been this much fun.

THE DETOX: POTION JUICERY

Oh, the glory days of early nights, regular mealtimes and glowing skin. If August is all getting a bit too much, consider hitting up Potion, the Ibiza juicery whose brand image is less vegan and more Vogue. Cleanses start as short as one day, although a minimum of three will knock years (and pounds) off. Expect acres of slickly bottled colourful stuff with names like Wild Thing and After Party plus a creamy, dreamy concoction that's all activated almonds (soaked to wake them up) and sweet dates. New for this summer is the simply-named Black, a fierce-looking inky libation that cleanses the system using activated carbon. Black juice? How terribly chic.

THE BEACH HANGOUT: AMANTE

Amante has really upped the ante (sorry) in recent years, evolving from chic daytime beach retreat into a luxury all-hours cliff-side destination where fine dining (book the private Amante Table if you're feeling sexy – it's out of this world), sunrise yoga (three times a week, on the beach) and parties (Amante's opening really is the start of summer) go hand in hand. Our current obsession? Amante's open-air cinema nights, dreamy evenings of laidback luxury under the stars. Expect huge beanbags, posh popcorn and a vast outdoor screen with a backdrop of the glittering moonlit ocean – a real 'pinch me' moment.

THE BAR: THE ROCK BAR

With all that's new in Ibiza each summer it's easy to forget our beloved classics. The Rock Bar has held court at the southern end of Ibiza Town's port for many a year, and still manages to be both a rite of passage for the newbies and a home- from- home for the locals. This year's overhaul of the town's waterfront means a luxe-y new outdoor terrace with superyacht parking on the doorstep – could there be better people watching? – and slouchy sofas to enjoy Ibiza's best cocktails (ingredients sourced market fresh, naturally).  Add to this the fact that Groove Armada dedicated a song to The Rock on their new album, and that it's Kate Moss's perennial favourite watering hole – what are you waiting for?

THE PARTY: THE GROUCHO CLUB AT PIKES

If London's Groucho Club is a byword for louche decadence in London then it has met its match with Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes Hotel. Both dens of iniquity in their time  - Pikes was the location for WHAM!'s Club Tropicana video and many a star has had a dalliance in THAT pool – it's safe to they've witnessed some unrepeatable stories. Apt then, that the two should pair up to host the Groucho Club's 30th birthday party last week, a night so starry that even legendary Pikes founder, Tony Pike, dressed formally. Naturally things got loose fairly sharpish, but not before we spied DJ Sneak hobnobbing with producer du jour Eats Everything, co-hosts Jaime Winstone and Liz Mendez raiding the dressing up box and ex-All saint Melanie Blatt introducing everyone to her entire family. Nobody sees to remember what time it finished, which I suppose was rather the point. Vive la liberte!
