I like to start my weekends with a run in Regent’s Park followed by a stroll down Marylebone High Street to The Natural Kitchen (77-78 Marylebone High Street, W1U 5JX, 020 3012 2123, thenaturalkitchen.com) –below - my favourite place to enjoy a freshly squeezed carrot and ginger juice.

For lunch, you’ll usually find me on the rooftop at Shoreditch House (020 7739 5040, shoreditchhouse.com) which is particularly good for brunch on Sundays and also a really great place to meet interesting artists, as well as see friends from the industry.

Whenever I’m in East London I like to explore and observe the incredible street art. I usually find myself walking down Redchurch Street where there’s a lovely little coffee shop and gallery I like, Franze & Evans, 101 Redchurch Street, London, E2 7D, 020 7033 1910, franzeevans.com

On Saturday night, my wife and our friends go for dinner at Coya Restaurant (118 Piccadilly, W1J 7NW, 020 7042 7118, coyarestaurant.com), which does delicious Peruvian food: I almost always have the seabass with a Peruvian cocktail. I also love the Connaught Bar (Carlos Place, W1K 2AL, 020 7314 3419, the-connaught.co.uk) – their cocktails are amazing!

Sundays I try to be active again and begin my day at the gym. I find The Third Space (Bulstrode Place, W1U 2HU, 020 7042 6333, thethirdspace.com) perfect because it is really clean and not too busy. After my workout, I go to 108 Bar & Restaurant (108 Marylebone Lane, W1U 2QE, 020 7969 3900, 108marylebonelane.com) to have a ginger, lemon and honey shot which gives me a boost for the day.

I then make a quick stop at my barber, Ted’s Grooming Room (5 Avery Row, W1K 4AL, 020 7629 3519, tedsgroomingroom.com) - below- which usually takes longer than expected because I love it there – it’s so relaxing!

The weekends are also really important to me because it’s an opportunity to spend quality time with my family. On Sunday mornings, my wife, son and I would normally go to Cecconis (5A Burlington Gardens, W1S 3EPUK, 020 7434 1500, cecconis.co.uk) for breakfast. I like to keep it simple and order scrambled eggs with a Virgin Mary. Their food is always excellent and I find Sunday mornings the best time to go.

For the rest of the day, I either go to an exhibition across the road at the Royal Academy (Burlington House, W1J 0BD, 020 7300 8000, royalacademy.org.uk) or I’d head over to Carnaby Street for some shopping.

Sunday night is my time to wind down so I order in sushi from You Me Sushi (156 Marylebone Rd, NW1 5PN, 020 7935 0505, youmesushi.com). Their cream cheese salmon sushi is my absolute favourite and a must try.

Next week is especially exciting as it is the start of Frieze Art Fair in London (020 3372 6111, friezelondon.com). Every year Frieze has an amazing selection of great contemporary artists from galleries worldwide. This year I’m looking forward to an installation piece called 'Theory’ by Argentinean artist Eduardo Basualdo.

I also will be sure to stop by the top stands such as Gagosian Gallery, White Cube, and Victoria Miro, who this year will be launching a show of Kusama works in her new Mayfair gallery.

Additionally,British artist Joe Black, who I discovered, will unveil his debut solo exhibition ‘Ways of Seeing’ at the Opera Gallery London (134 New Bond St, W1S 2TF, 020 7491 2999, operagallery.com) to coincide with the festival.

‘Ways of Seeing’ explores the way we see pictures by making art work that is both seen as a whole and as a collection of small united parts, such as thousands of hand- painted toy soldiers, badges, or chess pieces. Joe’s ambition is for the audience to experience the striking scale and the intricate detail at once. The exhibition emphasises the strong importance of seeing Joe Black’s work (above) close-up and far away.

You can come and see the exhibition free at Opera Gallery, 34 New Bond St, London W1, opera gallery.co.uk, from Oct 18 – Nov 30 2013.
