Friday

So, Friday I leave the office in Camden Lock Market and stop by 'Danny Music', our resident DJ who sells an eclectic collection of eras and genres of tunes on he’s the first stall as you head on to Camden Lock Place, and pick up a record for the weekend…this Friday he’s holding for me “Latimore let’s straighten it out…” from Nudge Records..the perfect soundtrack to any weekend, although this weekend I’ll be tuned in to our own pop-up radio station onsite where we have Norman Jay MBE, Anna Greenwood and Guy Williams DJing… listen to it via our homepage camdenlockmarket.com

Then it’s great to round off my week by heading to Cafe Chula, above, 75 - 89 Lower Walkway, West Yard,?Camden Lock Place, NW1 8AF?T, 020 7284 1890, cafechula.co.uk, our Mexican cantina, for pitchers of frozen margaritas or passion fruit mojitos…trying to avoid their extensive collection of tequilas too early on …

Then it's dinner here sampling their authentic street food inspired dishes or perhaps we’ll head over to Camden Lock's latest addition Honest Burgers, above, Unit 34 a, 54-56 Camden Lock Place, NW1 8AF, 020 86173949, honestburgers.co.uk, where the burgers using Ginger Pig produce and the hand-cut rosemary chips are to die for and are washed down with their Hendricks G&Ts infused with cucumber…

Saturday morning I’m up bright and early to head to Crouch End's new Hot Yoga at Yoga Centric, Yoga Centric, 52 Coleridge Rd, N8 8ED, 0208 340 3434, yogacentric.co.uk , to blast away any sign of a hangover, followed by a soya latte from Coffee Circus Crouch End Cafe, above, 136 Crouch Hill, N8 9DX, 07534 096407, coffeecircus.com/crouch-end, a gorgeous, little, family-owned business specialising in artisan coffee. I love the circus atmosphere and the eclectic décor lining the walls, and it's the perfect place to relax on a Saturday morning.

Then I'll head down the road on Crouch Hill to Murray Store, 142 Crouch Hill, N8 9DX, 0208 342 5200, murraystore.co.uk, the menswear shop I own with my husband, Murray. We opened Murray's a year ago and we champion independent designers, such as Sandqvist, Wallace & Sewell, Peckham Rye, Blue Collar Worker and Murdock. The store regularly hosts art by local artists and we love being part of the Crouch End community. Over the year the shop has evolved in to a place where people like not only to shop, but hang out, listen to our soundtracks and generally spend time…It’s more socialising than work for me being there on a Saturday and getting the local gossip. We try to not get high on our own supply but this weekend a limited range of Barbour Jackets made for the Japanese market are arriving and one has my name written on it!

Saturday night starts with heading over to 'Back In 5 minutes', 224 Brick Lane, E1 6SA, 07507 754 318, disappearingdiningclub.co.uk/index.php?id=4 , which is Disappearing Dining Club’s, above, permanent East London space. They take over unusual venues and run very cool dining events, and here we can take over the whole venue with 15 friends and drink and dine to our hearts' content, it’s as laid back as being at home without having to do the dishes, with winter warming casseroles and an extensive wine list.

We’ve got Disappearing Dining running a pop up restaurant at Camden Lock this weekend to celebrate the arrival of our Boutique Christmas Night Markets…we’re excited to have tempted them over to the North Side as until now they have been working with mainly East London venues…they’ve taken over our Lock Side Cottage for three nights 12/13/14th December , 54-56 Camden Lock Place, London, NW1 8AF, 07958711535, disappearingdiningclub.co.uk/index.php?id=28

Afterwards, I swing by the Big Chill bar on Dray Walk, (off Brick Lane), London E1 6QL, 020 7392 9180, wearebigchill.com. It's good to see old faces and some of my favourite DJs - it brings back many fond and naughty memories of my days at the festival….

Sunday - hangover permitting - I head back to Camden Lock Market for the boutique festival vibe and to fill up on carbs, papers and breakfast from Australian newcomer Ruby Dock,45-46 Camden Lock PLace, Middle Yard, camdenlockmarket.com/food-drink/4434-2, before a night of light shopping around the Market Hall. I love seeing the market in full swing, soaking up the festival atmosphere perusing the arts and crafts stall which showcase some of London's best designer makers, organic beauty products, designer homeware and shopping at WE Make London, wemakelondon.co.uk/boutique#overlay-context=boutique, What Every Girl Wants, 47 Upper West Yard, 07974500859, whateverygirlwantslondon.co.uk, Mighty Fine Choc, above, & Fudge in the West Yard bemightyfine.com Then I’m spoilt for choice with Sunday Lunch from Piadina, Cowboy Cottage Pie, Hola Paella, Rupert Street and definitely finishing off with ice cream from the liquid nitrogen ice cream maestros Chin Chin for dessert……

To round off a busy weekend Sunday evening we head over to The Proud Archivist, above, on Regent’s Canal, 10 Hertford Road, N1 5ET, ?020 7749 6852 , theproudarchivist.co.uk Recently opened by my good friend and cultural provocateur Hector Proud, also the man behind Idea Generation Gallery. The layout is stunning and embraces the best of food, drinks, gallery space, music and is a great place to hang out.

Monday morning I need the yoga class to detox before a busy week ahead……..
