Friday

Cooking food and finding incredible ingredients is what I live for. The weekend is when all this becomes even more intense and thrilling. The atmosphere in Ceviche, above (17 Frith St, London W1D 4 RG, 0207 292 2040, cevicheuk.com) on a Friday night is electric and I try and make sure everyone there is feeling great before I head for our new restaurant Andina, below (1 Redchurch St, London E1 6JL, 020 7920 6499, andinalondon.com).

If I have a chance to escape during the day from Ceviche, I’ll go to Juice Tonic, below in Soho (3 Winnett Street, London, W1D 6JY, 020 7434 3706, juicetonic.com) for a Green Power Juice served by Marco Prioetti. What he doesn't know about juices is not worth knowing.

I walk a lot, so love buying shoes and love old school Adidas, so check what's in No6 (6 Newburgh Street, London, WC1 7RO, 020 7734 9976, no6-london.com) but Mrs Morales tipped me on Vivo Barefoot (Stores Nationwide, vivobarefoot.com) and I'm a convert. They're a British company with an obsession for happy feet. Ask to speak to cult leader Mark for advice on what shoes to get.

To regain my sanity or if I want to buy a present for someone I drop by the Photographer's Gallery (16-18 Ramillies St, London W1F 7LW, 020 7087 9300, thephotographersgallery.org.uk?) or Gosh! Comics (1 Berwick Street, London, W1F 0DR, 020 7636 1011, goshlondon.com). If I want to treat myself I head for the Foyles (113-119 Charing Cross Rd, London WC2H 0EB, 020 7437 5660, foyles.co.uk) cookbook section and buy a foodie fanzine. Foyles' Veronica Leek has developed a unique area in the store just for alternative food magazines, which I love collecting and offering for all to read at Andina. If it's gone midnight, I always head for a late night snack at Zheng Zhong Lan Zhou La Mian Noodle Bar (33 Cranbourne Street, London, WC2H 7AD) - a place with a long name and long noodles, but made fresh right in front of you. Those boys never smile or say much but their flavours are real.

Saturday

I live near Richmond, so on Saturday before heading to Andina I often have breakfast or a club sandwich at Pickle & Rye, above, in East Sheen (30 Sheen Lane, London SW14 8LW, 020 8878 8982, pickleandrye.com) - a US style sandwich cafe. Or I might have a chicken empanada in Chango's in Richmond (3 Paved Court, Richmond upon Thames, TW9 1LZ, 020 7622 4797, chango.co.uk) or coffee or pistachio ice cream at Gelateria Danieli (16 Brewers Lane, Richmond upon Thames, TW9 1HH, 020 8439 9807, gelateriadanieli.com) . For dinner I love the sushi bar at Maki in Kew (147 Kew Rd London TW9 2PN, 020 8605 3679) and the fresh pasta and a zabaglione at Riva in Barnes (169 Church Road, London, SW13 9HR, 020 8748 0434), which is run by the brilliant Andea.

For an alternative fun night out we might go to Al Boccon Di'vino (14A Red Lion St, Richmond upon Thames, TW9 1RW, 020 8940 9060, nonsolovinoltd.co.uk) where there is no menu, you eat 20 courses, all mostly great and at the end they serve a whole suckling pig for everyone in the 24 seat restaurant!

Sunday

On the first Sunday of every month, I love going to Chiswick Car Boot Sale (Chiswick School, Burlington Lane, London, W4 3UN, open: 8am-1pm, £1 entry, chiswickcarbootsale.com) and if I go there I always grab some lunch and fresh ingredients from the Chiswick Food Market, above (Market Drive, London, W4 2RX, open Sundays 10am-2pm, dukesmeadowstrust.org/farmersmarket).

For an evening meal I sometimes drop by Fanoos in Sheen (81 Upper Richmond Rd, London, SW14 7PU, 020 8878 5738, faanoosrestaurant.com). Before I go to work at Andina I will always pop in to see Gaia at Burro e Salvia (52 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DP, 020 7739 4429, burroesalvia.co.uk) and buy some fresh pasta and panettone. In Peru, Panettone has become our national Christmas cake, but I like to treat myself more than once a year!

Just off Redchurch St there's also Story Deli, above (123 Bethnal Green Rd, London E2 7DG, storydeli.com), which serves great thin crust pizzas. Brunches keep us all very busy at Andina, but if I have a spare moment I head for Chatsworth Road Market (open Sundays 11am- 4pm, chatsworthroade5.co.uk/market). For a cheeky snack I might drop by Jubo, below, on Rivington Street (0207 033 0198, jubolondon.com), or, if I know where he is, I try and find Mark Wright at Rola Wala (various locations, @rolawala) for some of his twisted Indian street food, or for a more substantial meal to Hoi Polloi, Ace Hotel (100 Shoreditch High St, London, E1 6JQ, 020 8880 6100, hoi-polloi.co.uk) Dishoom ( various locations , dishoom.co.uk) or Albion (2-4 Boundary Street, London, E2 7DD, 020 7729 1051, albioncaff.co.uk)

Peruvian Martin Morales launched Ceviche in Soho, London, in 2012 - the first Peruvian restaurant of its kind in the UK. An ambassador of Peruvian food, Martin entered the Top 10 bestseller list in 2013 with his first cook book ‘Ceviche: Peruvian Kitchen’ (Weidenfeld & Nicolson), and recently opened his second London restaurant, Andina, in Shoreditch.

A former DJ and founding member of Apple iTunes Europe, he has been cooking since the age of ten.
