Even though I’m from Texas originally, London has to be one of my favourite places in the world and it’s where I call home now. When I’m not playing with Housekeeping, I like to make the most of the quality venues, gigs and dining choices this city has to offer.

Friday

My typical weekend off usually starts at the Duke of Clarence in Earl’s Court (48 Old Brompton Road, SW5 0BE, 020 7373 1285, geronimo-inns.co.uk). I live just around the corner so it’s my local and my favourite place to wind down, but after a few drinks I can’t resist a good party or night out. On Friday’s I usually head to The Cuckoo Club in Mayfair (Swallow Street, W1B 4EZ, 020 7287 4300, thecuckooclub.com) for the best in deep house. There’s usually sets from a Hot Creations DJ which guarantees a good night. I saw Maya Jane Coles play there a couple weeks back and it was one of the best nights I’ve had in a long time.

After a big Friday night, my Saturday mornings are very chilled until about lunch time. Like any good Texan, I hesitate to let a whole weekend pass without firing up the barbeque grill. I head to Parson's Nose in Fulham (753 Fulham Road, SW6 5UU, 020 7736 4492, parsonsnose.co.uk) by my house to pick up some chicken wings and steaks. Chicken wings on the grill can be a thing of beauty but strangely not many stores prepare them as I like so I struck gold when I discovered Parson's Nose.

If the weather doesn’t hold up, I like to get my barbeque fix at Pitt Cue Co. in Soho (1 Newburgh Street, W1F 7RB, 020 7287 5578, pittcue.co.uk) where I always order the beef feather blade with bone marrow mash potatoes.

I am also obsessed with L'Atelier de Joel Rubuchon in Covent Garden (13-15 West Street, WC2H 9NE, 020 7010 8600, joelrobuchon.co.uk). The slick, elegant decor provides the perfect setting for what is, hands down, the best food in London. I eat there quite a bit and have never had anything that was less than amazing. It’s also set up in the style of a sushi bar so I always enjoy watching the chefs create modern French masterpieces.

For me the best Saturday nights only happen a few times a year when we throw our Housekeeping Seven Deadly Sins parties at Koko in Camden (1a Camden High Street, NW1 7JE, 087 0432 5527, koko.uk.com). But otherwise, we head to Notting Hill to my good friend's new place, MODE (12 Acklam Road, W10 5QZ, 020 8354 3864, modecollective.com). It’s nice to have somewhere new to go and the design is really cool – they have a backdrop of an original church organ as well as a hanging spitfire plane in the club.

After a few too many vodka sodas on Saturday night, I like to spend Sunday relaxing. In the morning I go to Sprout Juicery in Battersea (258 Battersea Park Road, SW113BP, 074 0702 6829, sproutjuicery.co.uk) for an organic, cold pressed juice. Their recipes are original and innovative utilising superfoods and a range of fresh fruit and veg. For those looking to do a detox, I recommend one of their tailored juice cleanses.

I know that I will definitely be doing one after our summer long residency at Blue Marlin in Ibiza (Cala Jondal Beach, Ibiza, +34 971 410 117, bluemarlinibiza.com). Normally, I’d also head to my gym, Equinox in Kensington (99 Kensington High Street, W8 5SA, 020 7666 6000, equinox.com), which is great because it’s really open plan and not too busy on a Sunday.

I then spend the rest of Sunday with my girlfriend. We usually decide between doing something chilled like catching a film at Electric Cinema (191 Portobello Road, W11 2ED, 020 7908 9696, electriccinema.co.uk) (which has amazingly comfortable leather arm chairs) or for some fun, we’ll go to The Experimental Cocktail Club in Chinatown (13a Gerrard Street, W1D 5PS, 020 7434 3559, experimentalcocktailclublondon.com). Having some down time and enjoying a few cocktails is always a good way to see the weekend out before another busy week.

Founded by London DJs Taylor McWilliams, Carl Waxberg, Sebastian Macdonald-Hall and Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, Housekeeping is the latest house music phenomenon to hit the London scene. Following the massive success of the sell out Seven Deadly Sins parties, the DJ Collective have recently secured a summer residency at the prestigious Blue Marlin in Ibiza.

Tickets to Housekeeping Seven Deadly Sins ‘Gluttony’ on 10th May 2014 at Koko in Camden are on sale now at KweekWeek.com.

Taylor also runs a property company called Hondo Enterprises. They have just recently partnered with the Gansevoort Hotel from NYC (420 Park Avenue, NY 10016, +1 212 317 2900, gansevoorthotelgroup.com) to develop a 120 bedroom hotel on Curtain Road in Shoreditch, complete with spa, restaurant and rooftop pool/bar and will launch in Autumn 2015.
