Friday

Friday night always starts with the team having drinks at Drink, Shop & Do, above  (9 Caledonian Road, N1 9DX, 020 7278 4335), which we created as an all-day café, bar and store serving cocktails, snacks, and afternoon tea,  and where you try your hand at various arts and crafts. DJs  play into the early hours on the weekend.

We'll then head off  to a pub in Kings Cross. When it's sunny, we love  the hidden roof terrace at The Fellow, above  (24 York Way, N1 9AA 020 7833 4395), if not, The King Charles (55-57 Northdown Street, N1 9BL, 020 7837 7758), where you can order in your favourite delivery. We usually get the 'Ham, Egg & Chips' from Max's Sandwich Shop, below (19 Crouch Hill, N4 4AP).

If we're not ready to go home at closing time, we'll head over to our new members' bar, Keystone Crescent (Keystone Crescent, N1 9DT, 020 7278 4255), until 4 am, right next to Drink, Shop & Do.

Saturday

We always start with a healthy breakfast at home from The Art of Eating Well, or  Deliciously Ella . We love the nordic spiced porridge, which is  easy to make, and a great energy boost. In  summer, we'll have a swim in Kings Cross Pond Club (20 Canal Reach, N1 4BE, 020 38186500).  The  UK's first ever man-made pond/art installation,  it's a relaxing and beautiful space,  which feels like a little piece of the countryside in central London. If we don't swim,  then we'll  go for a session at YogaHaven (122 Pentoville Road, N1 9TT, 020 7833 1131).

We love wandering around the boutiques around Spitafields,  especially Luna & Curious, above (24-26 Calvert Ave, E2 7JP, 020 3222 0034),  then going for lunch at The Rochelle Canteen, above  (Rochelle School, E2 7ES, 020 77295677). Their menu changes daily and the 'Braised courgettes and soft polenta' is particularly yummy, light and fresh.

When we're all shopped out we love relaxing in The Ten Bells pub, above (84 Commercial Street, E1 6QG, 020 7426 0560),   or even better,  at the cocktail bar upstairs, where The 'Shorty' cocktails pack a punch, and the menu is divided according to their  strength.  If we get hungry, we'll pop over to Taberna Do Mercado (Old Spitalfields Market, 107b Commercial Street, E1 6BG, 020 7375 0649),  for some small plates and the insanely delicious olive oil cake. Then we just might have a little dance at the The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town (12-16 Artillery Lane, E1 7LS, 020 7078 9639), which is  a really cool and quirky bar hidden away within the Breakfast Club in Spitalfields.

Sunday

Car boot fair day!  It's always great if we can make it out of the city to find more interesting cast-offs but in London, Battersea Boot (Battersea Park Road, SW11 5AP, 07941 383 588) is a gem and open every weekend. Bargain-hunting works up an appetite, so we find a table at The Breakfast Club,  above (5-9 Battersea Rise, SW11 1HG, 020 7078 9630), and have a stack of pancakes. We  love to do something relaxing and inspiring in the afternoon, like looking around the Horniman Museum (100 London Road, Forest Hill, SE23 3PQ, 020 8699 1972). Then it's chill-out time at home to get ready for the week ahead.

Kristie Bishop & Coralie Sleap are the duo behind the hugely successful  all-day cafe, bar and store Drink, Shop & Do, which just celebrated it's 5th birthday. The two life-long friends left  their 'normal jobs'  (Coralie in an art gallery, Kristie in drinks promotions), to launch Drink, Shop & Do, the product of their repsective interests.. Upstairs is a light-filled  50-cover cafe serving afternoon tea, light meals, speciality teas, and feisty  cocktails. The café space leads on to domed room sporting an impressive disco ball – the perfect location for many of the 'DOs'. Downstairs, a basement bar with sound system and DJ equipment is the ideal place to end the night.

Keystone Crescent  (Keystone Crescent, London N1 9DT, 020 7278 4255), their new venture, is a 50 capacity, hidden-away  lounge bar run as a members' club. Open until 2am on Wednesdays & Thursdays and 4am from Friday through to Sunday & Thursdays and 4am from Friday through to Sunday .
